About the Program

“Corona Disaster Management Awareness Program” was planned to help the individuals at grass root level where the health facilities are struggling. Under this program we provide training to selected 20 volunteers per batch from villages regarding Covid-19 so that they can help the local medical units and also report cases on time to higher centres in case of emergency. This course is a joint activity of IASE (deemed to be) University and SBLD Ayurved Vishwabharati College and Hospital, GVM, Sardarshahar.

Aim of the program:

1. Provide awareness at grassroots level
2. Stay prepared for emergency
3. Be prepared for future outbreaks
4. Reduce mortality and morbidity
5. Manage mild to moderate cases at home with the help of medical staff

Objectives of program:

1. To teach and train:
   
   1. SARS-COV- 2
   2. Signs and symptoms of Covid-19
   3. Lab tests
   4. Different stages of Covid-19
   5. Prognosis of disease
   6. Preventive measures like yoga, diet,
   7. Proning,
   8. Vaporization,
   9. Nebulisation,
   10. SPO₂ monitoring, temperature monitoring
   11. Attaching and changing oxygen cylinder and concentrator.
   12. Sanitization of room, home and streets of villages
   13. Emergency evacuation in ambulance
   14. Teaching hygienic measures to the family of Covid patient
   15. Cold sponging
   16. PPE Donning Doffing
   17. Test skills by Mock drills
